Pastor James Caskey
Pastor James Caskey has served the people of Garden Grove, as senior pastor, since 2009. He sees his role as one of serving; serving God and serving the people God brings here. He has lead this congregation to choose as its motto "Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ". So, whether you have just met Jesus, or have known Him for some time, we would love to help you take more steps in his direction.
Pastor James began serving God as a teenager and has filled many shoes of responsibility in the local church. After attending Bible College and seminary in Indiana and Ohio, he surrendered to the call to pastor and has pastored three different churches in the past 29 years.
Our pastor is passionate about winning souls. Alongside the usual duties of preaching, teaching, and leading, our Pastor encourages us to be involved in our community and be the light of Christ in this dark and confusing world. Pastor James led us in sharing the gospel at community events and many venues which helps the community to know we are here, that we love them, and desire to show them The Way-Jesus Christ.
Pastor James brings with him more than 35 years of ministry experience to help us reach our potential for the Lord her in Garden Grove. He often says, "Everybody cannot do everything, but everybody can do something."
Dolores Newsome
Dolores Newsome has been a loyal member of Garden Grove Baptist for more than 19 years. After retiring from an administrative position in the secular workforce, Dolores brought her administrative skills here to serve us, her church, and her Pastor.
Ms. Dolores serves in many different capacities. She manages our church office, works in our Children's program, finances, VBS, sings in the choir, sings in the praise team, and numerous other areas of service. You can see her involved in most all our church functions. Dolores is always available to lend a helping hand, she is a servant!
Dolores has a daughter and grandchildren that she loves and cares for deeply.
